Associate Director of Admission

Westover School is a girls-centered boarding and day school education experience for grades 9-12. We are committed to providing a college preparatory education in a small community atmosphere that emphasizes student-adult interaction. Westover School seeks a full-time, 12-month Associate Director of Admission. This position will report to the Dean of Enrollment Management and play a vital role in the school community by engaging and recruiting mission-appropriate students who can thrive at Westover School.
Role Description:
Assist in the development and maintenance of the Admission Team's comprehensive recruitment, marketing and retention plan, promoting Westover School and its general enrollment goals
Primary commitment is to the recruitment of mission-appropriate students:
Managing assigned recruitment territory
Setting metrics to assess outcomes
Research and execute strategies to increase yield from target markets
Domestic travel approximately 50% or more of the time, coordinating with other Westover offices and boarding schools, as appropriate
Cultivate and manage relationships with domestic educational consultants, placement directors, and local feeder schools
Attend and represent Westover at conferences, fairs, and other recruitment opportunities
Be an on campus support for prospective student and family visits, as well as Interview prospective students and families
Enter all notes, contacts, and communication regarding recruitment travel details and prospective families into the database in a timely manner
Review student applicants and collaborate with admission committee regarding admission decisions
Collaborate with the admission team to plan and implement all Westover admission events, initiatives, virtual events, visits, and yield activities for prospective students
Collaborate with admission team to plan, implement, and provide support for additional special enrollment and retention-focused events
Required Skills:
Mid-level recruitment experience at an independent boarding school required
Ability to serve as an articulate spokesperson for the mission and values of Westover
Understanding of market research, demographics, and cultivation strategies
Basic financial skill set, in order to educate parents on the financial aid process
Excellent analytical and technological skills
Database management, knowledge of systems such as Blackbaud K-12
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills
High energy, attention to detail, and ability to organize effectively
Ability to multitask, be flexible, and work in a consumer relationship building mindset
This job involves extended periods of travel, sitting, data entry, and computer use, as well as frequent lifting and use of stairs. Extensive walking and standing are required for tours, visits, and events.
